Oregon has had an impressive amount of rain this June, receiving 80% of the normal rainfall for the entire month within the first 4 days. This created some excellent late spring waterfall conditions. This image was taken deep in the gorge the day after some really heavy rain. It’s not an easily accessible location when the water …
Update! This Auction turned out to be a huge success, and I was honored that my photos had the highest bidders. Click here to read about the results of the auction.. For the past few months I have been volunteering here in Portland Oregon for a non-profit called “Focus On Youth”, and it really is …
I get quite a few e-mails every week about which filters I use and the technique involved, so I figured it would be easier to just write something up and link people to it, instead of typing the same reply over and over. This isn’t meant to be an introduction to filters by any means, …
This is the beautiful Cape Kiwanda area in Pacific City Oregon. I left the house at 4:30am in hopes of catching a nice sunrise on the coast. I have recently updated my website using a combination of WordPress and Photoshelter. This offers much more customization and the ability to post more content with the blog portion of the site. It’s currently a work in progress…
I recently spent a good amount of time clearing about 60GB of images from my hard drive. When I originally mentioned this on a flickr post awhile back I got a lot of comments that went something like “Hard drives are cheap, I just buy another drive when I run out of space”. Well, in …
Decided to take a quick trip out to Cape Kiwanda for a sunrise. I have only been out there one other time, and it’s really an awesome spot. On this morning, the tide was pretty low, and there really was zero wave activity. I much prefer to shoot the ocean with waves crashing around and …
