Pacific Northwest Cold Spell

Abiqua Falls - Winter 2009

We have had some rather unusual, and really cold weather this last week. Normally we get snow, sleet, and freezing rain all at about the same time. This makes it really hard to get around in a vehicle, and renders some locations completely out of the questions. This last week we had sub-freezing temps for almost a week straight, but no precipitation;  freezing all of the major waterfalls, but still leaving them accessible. I posted some more photos after the jump, and you can click on them to see the large versions…

About Jesse

Jesse

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and currently reside in Troutdale, Oregon. While keeping my homeland as the main arena for my photography projects, a restless growing desire to travel has led me to start reaching out geographically; always looking for new challenging subjects to capture.
