Punchbowl Falls – NO LOG!

January 26, 2009|Landscape, News1

After hearing that the log was finally gone from the famous Punchbowl falls, I decided to head in there and check it out for myself. I had seen a few images posted on flickr without the log. It was nice to see the log was gone after 12 years…

Snowy Punchbowl Falls

This is the first shot that I took after spotting an image on flickr of this famous waterfall without the log crossing through the scene. Got here just after a fresh snow in the gorge, and it was very nice to see that the log had finally washed out…

One Response to Punchbowl Falls – NO LOG!

  • Chen Su February 23, 2014

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture! I am planning a trip to Oregon in this March and I hope I can visit this waterfall. How difficult is it to hike this spot in winter? Is the water frozen usually frozen in the gorge? and where can I rent a waterproof suit?

I will appreciate it if you can answer my questions. Thanks!

    Chen
